Frontier: Elite II Equipment Modification Patch
                            3.5in Disk

This patch modifies the Shipyard Upgrade page so that all of
the equipment items are now FREE, and have no weight value.

The cost of any ship is now 1000 credits, and all ships have a
crew of 1, can install a fuel scoop, and have a minimum of 2 gun
mounts, and 4 missile mounts. Should you need a few fast credits,
all you have to do is install passenger cabins, then sell them
back for a profit.

With this patch you can now buy any ship in the shipyard, and
install equipment you desire, without regard for cost or weight.
Many designs can now be performed without hacking the code, or by
regular gameplay. You can also increase your cargo capacity by
buying items using the modified patches, save the game, then
selling them using the original files. You will get both the space
of the item added to your ship, and be paid for it.

Any drive can be removed from any ship, which cannot be done in
the regular game. Note that any ship you sell should have it's
normal drive installed, as no drive or upgraded ones will cause
the exchange rate to go negative. If you change a drive, then want
to sell the ship, just reinstall the original drive before selling
it. Sorry, but class 8 drives are not in the coding for display on
the upgrade page. However once destroyed, any drive can replace
them.

Most modifications to the ship will revert to their original
values should you sell the ship or equipment in the regular game.
However, you can always load the ship into the patched version
and reinstall equipment.

A Falcon savegame is also included ready for customizing. This
ship has been modified for 60.1g main and retro acceleration,
1000t cargo space, and two gun mounts. Standard flight equipment
has been installed.

As these modifications also affect the enemy ships as well, it
is recommended that you play the game using one game directory,
and modify the ships in another. Install Frontier: Elite II into
two separate directories, then install the patch files into one of
them.
