This patch was intended to allow four player Internet play within the game, but alas was never completed. Since it's a beta, I advise caution when installing it. I personally have never managed to get it working, but I have heard from people who have. The XWIS replacement online server doesn't require it for online play, but it may be worth trying since four players would add to the online appeal of the game. To give it a try, install Red Alert normally or as I describe on the tech support page (if using XP) and then don't install Counterstrike or Aftermath. Just extract this archive into your RA directory and execute the game. Good luck.
